What we do

Programs built with the community, not for it.

Each initiative reflects decades of dedication to helping individuals build healthier, stronger, and more productive lives.

Returning Citizens Program

A dignified path back into the community.

Reentry is a season, not a sentence. We meet formerly incarcerated neighbors where they are and build a plan around them: identification and paperwork, workforce readiness, food access, mentorship, and connection to housing and health resources. The goal is not simply to keep someone out of the system — it is to help them build a life they are proud of.

Clean, Sanitize & Prep

The foodservice training program created as a Kellogg Youth Ambassador.

Designed and implemented by Dwayne Edward Wilson during his time as a Youth Ambassador with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Clean, Sanitize & Prep teaches the practical foundations of professional kitchen work — sanitation standards, knife and prep discipline, workplace conduct, and confidence. It has moved participants from classroom to paycheck through education, workforce preparation, and life-skills training.

Community Herbal Renewal

Wellness education rooted in natural health practices.

Herbal awareness is one of the foundation's core commitments. Through workshops, growing days, and weekly findings shared in The Garden of Eaden, families learn to use plants for everyday wellness and to understand what they put into their bodies.

Feeding the Community

Thirty years of catering, turned outward.

Royster's Gourmet Catering spent decades serving attorneys, judges, and physicians. That same standard of care now goes to the homeless and food-insecure across Detroit — hot meals, served with respect, no questions asked.
